Basic Web Hosting
"Basic Web Hosting" means just that. It includes a place for your website and email. At StartMy.com, we give you web hosting the way you want it. Simple and without a lot of hassle.
If you are still worried about the details, put your mind at rest. Your
StartMy.com account comes with as much web space as you would want for your
business. If you use more than 1 GB of space (which most human beings are
unlikely to do) we are going to upgrade your account. We are not going to
charge you penalties, we will just upgrade you to the next billing level
(it will take effect for the month you went over 1 GB of space used).
As for bandwidth, so long as your monthly transfer rate stays reasonable
(less than 50 GB--you will be even more hard pressed to reach this
limit legally), don't worry about it. If your company becomes a high
bandwidth customer, we are going to upgrade your account (high bandwidth
is more
than
50 GB per month--upgrade billing starts the month you went
over 50 GB in bandwidth). No hassles, just quality service (see Terms
of Service for more information).
For those more technically minded, StartMy.com supports ASP, MS .NET Framework
and, PHP (SSI is supported within ASP). In addition, we support FrontPage
extensions and provide you with a unique (static) IP. Our datacenter
infrastructure includes emergency generator power, 24/7 manned Network
Operations Center
and a full Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).
Your StartMy.com Basic Web Hosting account will include as many email accounts
as you need (provided you are not spaming--see Terms
of Service). You will be allowed 50 email accounts to start and, if
you need more you can just let us know (when you get past 50, you may
be asked to upgrade your account). In addition, your email will be accessible
via your email client (such as Outlook Express) or on the web (similar
to
Yahoo! Mail or HotMail).
StartMy.com has an aggressive anti-spam program and blocks all email from
known spammers. We do this to protect our customers and reduce the
cost of hosting for our customers. It is possible to opt out of our
anti-spam program;
however, it will cost you an additional $20 per month due to the high
bandwidth cost of spam. In addition, as part of your basic package,
you are allowed
to send up to 1000 emails per day for your account. If your business
requires that you send out more than 1000 emails per day, you may apply
for an upgrade
to your email account.
Upgrade Fee Schedule
· $15 per extra 1 GB of disk space over your first 1 GB of disk space
· $50 will be your new monthly fee if you use more than 50 GB of bandwidth
· $100 will be your new monthly fee if you use more than 100 GB of bandwidth
· $5 for every block of 50 email accounts beyond the first 50
· $20 (additional) to remove the StartMy.com Anti-Spam filter
· If you send more than 1000 emails per day, you may apply for an account upgrade.
· If you need more than 150 GB of bandwidth contact us for a price quote
Email Only
StartMy.com's "Email Only" service starts at $10 per month (upgrades apply--see
above). This will allow you to set up your own myname@mydomain.com
email accounts without having to pay for web hosting you may not want
or need.
Your StartMy.com Email Only account will be allowed 50 email accounts.
If you need more email accounts you may upgrade your account (see above).
In addition, your email will be accessible via your email client (such

StartMy.com dedicated servers are ideal for sites that have out grown a shared server or need more control. With a dedicated server you get the kind of control, configuration, power and accessibility that you require. You can fully control account setups, software installations, user modifications, and data backups. A dedicated server is a complete server just for you and your site/sites.
